Travelers from Patna to Nepal are set to gain a major advantage with the impending launch of a Vande Bharat Express service. This new train will enable passengers to enjoy the comforts of Vande Bharat, with the route starting from Danapur and proceeding through Patliputra Junction and Hajipur. The time taken to complete the journey will be significantly reduced to just eight hours, offering a faster and more efficient travel experience for the residents of Bihar. The launch of this service is expected to be marked by the Prime Minister.
The Vande Bharat train will operate between Danapur and Jogbani stations. The service from Jogbani will commence in the morning, arriving in Danapur in the afternoon after an approximately eight-hour trip. The return trip will begin from Danapur and reach Jogbani in the evening. Given the high demand and passenger numbers on the route, there are plans to deploy a 16-rake Vande Bharat train.
The train will run from Danapur to Jogbani, making stops at Patliputra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Saharsa, Madhepura, and Purnia. Although the specific route and timings are yet to be confirmed, it is expected that the inauguration will coincide with the Prime Minister’s visit to inaugurate the Purnia Airport.
The introduction of the Vande Bharat train will simplify travel for those journeying from Patna to Nepal. Jogbani station is strategically located near the India-Nepal border, making it easy for people to walk to the border.
