Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Kacchi Dargah-Bidupur Bridge in Patna, a significant development for Bihar’s infrastructure. The six-lane bridge, which spans the Ganges, aims to enhance regional connectivity and spur development by linking previously isolated areas with Patna. The first phase of the project, which began a decade ago, has been completed. Minister Nitin Nabin acknowledged the Chief Minister’s vision, emphasizing the project’s impact on regions previously untouched by major infrastructure. Local residents, including former officials, shared their delight, expressing how the bridge would transform their travel experiences and improve access to Patna. The bridge, which is nearly 10 km long, will connect NH 31 to NH 322 and is designed to ease traffic on existing routes. The bridge is expected to be fully operational by July 2025, with plans for additional infrastructure projects, such as a bridge between Arrah and Chhapra.
