On Saturday, July 26, 2025, an encounter in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh resulted in the death of four Maoists. The clash took place in a forested area. The security forces, acting on intelligence, conducted an anti-Maoist operation, which led to an intense exchange of fire. Following the encounter, authorities recovered the bodies of four Maoists and a substantial quantity of weaponry, including INSAS and SLR rifles. This incident followed another operation on July 16, 2025, in Jharkhand’s Bokaro district, where a joint team was deployed against a group of CPI Maoists. The Bokaro operation led to an exchange of gunfire, the recovery of two bodies, and the death of a soldier from the 209 Battalion.
