A major security alert was triggered at the Kalasipalya BMTC Bus Stand in Bengaluru after the discovery of explosive materials. Three suspects have been arrested by the police in connection with the incident. The arrests were made after a probe that involved technical surveillance and local intelligence. The recovery of the explosives, which included gelatin sticks and electric detonators, raised serious safety concerns given the bus stand’s high volume of daily commuters. The police recovered 22 gelatin sticks and 30 detonators during the investigation. The authorities have confirmed that the investigation is still active, and further suspects are being sought. These developments come at a time when several private schools in the city have been dealing with hoax bomb threats, leading to disruptions and emergency responses.
