Rahul Gandhi, a prominent Congress figure, has ignited controversy with claims of extensive voter fraud in Haryana’s recent elections, alleging a staggering 2.5 million votes were illicitly cast. He presented a compelling piece of evidence: a photograph of a Brazilian model, which he stated was used to create multiple fake voter IDs. According to Gandhi, this same image was utilized to cast votes under different aliases, such as Seema and Vimala, at an astonishing 22 separate polling stations. He directly implicated BJP members in this alleged scheme, accusing them of exploiting these fraudulent identities. Gandhi also targeted the Election Commission, questioning its impartiality and accusing it of deliberately ignoring duplicate voter registrations that could have easily been purged. He suggested that the commission’s inaction suggests a deliberate effort to favor the BJP, thereby undermining the democratic process. The scale of the alleged fraud, impacting over 521,000 identified fake voters, raises significant concerns for Haryana’s electoral integrity.
