Authorities in Chennai have confirmed that a bomb threat made against the home of Vice President C P Radhakrishnan was a hoax. The email was sent to the Assistant Commissioner of Police’s office, leading to the immediate dispatch of a specialized unit to the Vice President’s residence in Poes Garden. The team, equipped with bomb detection technology and a sniffer dog, performed a meticulous search of the premises. Following the investigation, police have concluded that the threat was not credible. This incident adds to a series of similar hoaxes that Chennai police are currently investigating, aiming to trace the origin of these false alarms. A parallel incident involved a Delhi student who confessed to sending a bomb threat to their school to avoid taking exams, demonstrating the different reasons behind such fabrications.
