
Union Home Minister Amit Shah met with officers in Delhi who played a crucial role in the recent anti-Naxal operations in Chhattisgarh, congratulating them on their success. Shah reaffirmed the government’s commitment to freeing India from Naxalism. He plans to visit Chhattisgarh to meet the jawans who were instrumental in the operations. The security forces, under the guidance of the Union Home Minister, executed anti-Naxal operations in Chhattisgarh. The Chhattisgarh Police, including DRG units, conducted an operation in Abujhmad from May 18-21. A significant encounter on May 21 resulted in the killing of 27 Naxals, including CPI (Maoist) General Secretary Basavaraju, and the recovery of a large amount of arms. Several key officers, including the Director General of Police and other high-ranking officials, were acknowledged by Amit Shah. The meeting was attended by Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and other senior officials.
