
A new chapter added in the direction of strengthening and making accessible the health व्यवस्था of Chhattisgarh: Chief Minister flags off 151 new vehicles for the field health staff
851 new ambulances will be available soon in the state: Special ambulance arrangement will be made for the special backward tribes under the Prime Minister Jan Man Yojana

The state government is working with full commitment towards the expansion and strengthening of health services to every corner of the state. This step taken towards delivering reliable medical facilities to the general public is historic.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today flagged off 151 vehicles for the field health staff from his residence complex for various districts. On this occasion, he said that through these vehicles, people in remote areas of Bastar and Sarguja region will also be able to get effective treatment on time. This will prove to be a strong initiative in the direction of ‘Healthy Chhattisgarh’.
The Chief Minister said that a new chapter has been added today in the direction of strengthening and making accessible the health व्यवस्था of Chhattisgarh. State-of-the-art new vehicles have been included in place of old, unusable vehicles that have been scrapped. This initiative will also give impetus to the effective implementation, timely inspection and monitoring of national health programs.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that regular inspections, monitoring of health camps, quick access to remote areas and timely intervention in emergency situations will be possible with the vehicles being made available to the officers and field health workers working at the district and block level. This will make the operation of national health programs more effective and dynamic and the health service delivery system in the state will become more active, responsible and result-oriented. This initiative will work to give impetus to the entire health system of the state.
Chief Minister Shri Sai informed that these vehicles will be made available to all the districts of the state in a phased manner. In the first phase, these vehicles are being sent to 12 districts of Bastar and Sarguja division. He also informed that soon 851 new ambulance services will be started in the state, out of which 375 ambulances will be for 108 emergency services, 30 ambulances for rural mobile medical units and 163 ‘Muktanajali’ hearse vehicles will be provided under free service.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is working with a dedicated spirit for the upliftment of tribal communities. Under his guidance, arrangements for 30 ambulances for special backward tribes will also be made soon under the Prime Minister’s ‘Jan Man Yojana’. The Chief Minister said that now the state government will be able to fulfill its resolve of delivering health services to every household with full readiness even in challenging times like the rainy season. He gave information about the efforts being made by the state government to strengthen health services and reiterated its continuous commitment in this direction.
Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, while addressing the program, said that the state government is continuously working with full capacity to improve health facilities. He gave information about the efforts being made by the government to strengthen the health infrastructure and extended his best wishes to the field health staff for this special gift.
On this occasion, CGMSC Chairman Shri Deepak Mhaske, Waqf Board Chairman Shri Salim Raj, Health Department Secretary Shri Amit Kataria, Commissioner Dr. Priyanka Shukla and a large number of officers and dignitaries were present.
