Air India flight AI171, which was scheduled to fly from Ahmedabad to London, was involved in a severe accident today. The plane took off from Ahmedabad Airport’s Runway 23 at 1:17 PM, but shortly after, it crashed near the BJ Medical College campus in the Meghani Nagar area. The accident has led to widespread concern.
As a result of the incident, the Indigo flight from Raipur to Ahmedabad has been cancelled. The Raipur Airport Director announced that the Indigo flight, which normally operates between Raipur and Ahmedabad, will not fly until further notice.

The aircraft carried a total of 242 people, including 2 pilots, 10 cabin crew members, and 230 passengers. Captain Sumit Sabharwal, who had 8200 hours of flying experience, was the pilot, and the co-pilot was Clive Kunder, who had 1100 hours.
