The ongoing encounter between security forces and Naxals in the National Park area of Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, has resulted in the killing of two more Naxals. This follows the earlier elimination of Bhaskar, who had a bounty of 45 lakhs. Automatic weapons have also been recovered. The Superintendent of Police of Bijapur confirmed the news.
The operation has proven to be highly successful, with security forces taking down Sudhakar, a Naxal leader with a bounty of one crore, and Bhaskar previously. A total of four Naxals, including two top commanders, have now been killed in this operation.
The successes have significantly boosted the morale of the security forces, dealing a major setback to the Naxal organizations. During the anti-Naxal operation on Friday in the National Park area, Naxal leader Bhaskar alias Mailarapu Adellu was killed. An AK-47 rifle, along with other explosives, weapons, and ammunition, were recovered. Bhaskar was a resident of Adilabad district, Telangana, and served as the secretary of the CPI (Maoist) Telangana State Committee’s Mancherial-Komaram Bheem (MKB) division. Mandugula Bhaskar Rao was a member of the Telangana State Committee’s Special Zonal Committee (SZC). He was 45 years old and from Urumadala village, Adilabad district, Telangana. Earlier on June 5, 2025, the body of Central Committee member Gautam alias Sudhakar was recovered with an AK-47 rifle. These continuous victories have strengthened the security forces and weakened the Naxal organizations.
