Naxalites have once again carried out a heinous act in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, murdering two villagers on the suspicion of being police informants. The killings occurred in Chutwai village, under the jurisdiction of the Tarretam police station. The Jagargunda Area Committee of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) claimed responsibility. A note left at the scene explained that Kursam Manglu was targeted for providing information to the police. Deputy CM Arun Sao condemned the incident, stating the Naxals are acting out of desperation. This follows the recent encounter in Narayanpur, where security forces neutralized seven Naxalites.
