Brutal Murder in Korba: Boyfriend's Fury Over Girlfriend's Communication Leads to Tragedy

The relationship between the couple progressed, and the boyfriend had planned to marry her. The girlfriend started talking to another man. Upon learning this, the boyfriend objected and even threatened the victim's mother. On December 24, he flew from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to Raipur. From Raipur, he went to Korba and stayed at a hotel. He then went to the victim's house. A fight ensued, during which he raped her and then stabbed her 51 times with a screwdriver, killing her on the spot. After the murder, he fled to Gujarat by flight. The boyfriend was arrested after a month and a half. After the trial, the court found the accused guilty under sections 376, 302 of the BNS and section 3 (2) (W) of the SC/ST Act, sentencing him to life imprisonment. The court also fined him 75,000 rupees.
