Marking a significant milestone in Chhattisgarh’s Silver Jubilee Year, the National Supercross Bike Racing Championship was launched today at Raipur’s Budhapara Stadium. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai officially kicked off the event by taking a spirited motorcycle ride, complete with a helmet, eliciting a strong positive response from the audience, particularly the younger generation. Chief Minister Sai took the opportunity to advocate for road safety, emphasizing the critical need for helmet usage and adherence to traffic laws for all motorcycle and scooter riders. He highlighted the importance of channeling the inherent speed and enthusiasm of the youth into positive and safe avenues. This national-level competition is specifically organized to foster a robust culture of discipline, responsibility, and safety among young racers. Ujjwal Deepak, the President of the Chhattisgarh Motor Sports Association, articulated the event’s dual purpose: ‘Let speed be a passion, not a danger.’ The championship, held on a meticulously constructed safe racing track, signifies the state’s expanding role in Indian motor sports and its dedication to promoting the sport in a secure and responsible manner.
