The political landscape of Chhattisgarh is experiencing turbulence as a result of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s serious accusations against the Election Commission regarding voter list irregularities and vote theft. The situation has sparked a back-and-forth of allegations between the opposition and the ruling party. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has weighed in on the matter, deeming it improper to cast aspersions on the Election Commission. He said that the Congress is satisfied when results are in their favor but immediately turns to EVMs and the Commission when they lose. The Chief Minister’s statements were made during a media briefing at the Raipur Police Ground, following his return from a two-day tour of Jashpur. He shared information about his visit, highlighting the Raksha Bandhan celebrations with women participating in the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, the distribution of e-rickshaws to 12 women from self-help groups to boost their economic standing, and the inauguration of Chhattisgarh State Rural Bank branches in three development blocks.
