In a first, Chhattisgarh is deporting around 30 Bangladeshi citizens who were found to be in the country illegally. These individuals were caught in districts like Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Raigarh, Mohla-Manpur, and Chirmiri. The process involves the Raipur police handing them over to the BSF, which will then manage their deportation across the Assam-Bangladesh border. The deportation is set to be completed today. However, those who have active FIRs against them will not be deported until their legal cases are decided by the court. Their deportation will be dependent on the court’s final judgment. The BSF, tasked with securing the border, is carrying out this operation on the instructions of the central government.
