
Chhattisgarh is set to receive a major boost to its infrastructure development with the approval of ₹600 crore in road projects. This comes after a meeting between Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. The funding, allocated through the Central Road Fund (CRF), will be used to build and upgrade several roads across the state. The meeting also approved the upgrading of a two-lane road in the State Capital Region to a four-lane highway. Raipur will see the construction of four major bridges to ease traffic congestion. Furthermore, roads connecting Raipur to other districts will be widened to four lanes. The meeting also highlighted the importance of using the ‘Gati Shakti portal’ to accelerate the approval of road projects.
