
The Chhattisgarh government, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, has awarded financial aid to the children of registered laborers. Thirty-one meritorious students, who achieved top ranks in their 10th and 12th-grade exams, each received Rs 2 lakh under the Mukhyamantri Noni Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana. In addition, the government distributed over Rs 19.71 crore to 38,200 construction workers registered with the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board through direct bank transfers. The Chief Minister spoke about the government’s dedication to worker welfare, including the provision of up to Rs 50 lakh in aid for those pursuing studies abroad. He highlighted the state’s attractive industrial policy, emphasizing the potential for job creation through the over Rs 5 lakh crore in investment proposals received. The event also highlighted other welfare schemes for workers, including support for food, tools, and housing.
