
In a chilling case, a man has been arrested for murdering his pregnant wife in the Chhatoud village of Tilda-Nevra, Raipur district. The woman was found dead in her room, and the police launched an investigation. The husband was apprehended and has been sent to jail.
The post-mortem report confirmed that the cause of death was asphyxiation, and the manner of death was determined to be a homicide. The Deputy Inspector General of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Lal Umed Singh took immediate action and formed a dedicated team led by Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Kirtan Rathore, City Superintendent of Police (Vidhan Sabha) Virendra Chaturvedi, and Tilda-Nevra Police Station In-charge Inspector Ramakant Tiwari. They successfully arrested the suspect within 24 hours.
The accused, Pradum Nirmalkar, confessed to the crime. He admitted to killing his wife, Suruj Nirmalkar, because she refused to have sex due to health issues.
