In a major breakthrough for security forces, six Naxalites have been killed in a fierce encounter in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. The operation, initiated based on specific intelligence regarding the presence of key Maoist figures, unfolded in the Indravati National Park. A combined team of police commandos, including the DRG and STF, engaged the militants in a sustained firefight.
