Chaos erupted in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, following a violent attack on a police constable in the middle of a bustling marketplace. The constable was targeted with a sharp-edged weapon, prompting an immediate police response.
The incident took place in the market area of Padeda village, under the authority of the Bijapur police station. Constable Santu Potam was present in the marketplace when the attack occurred. The unidentified assailants inflicted serious injuries upon the constable during the assault. Upon receiving information about the attack, local residents contacted the police, who quickly dispatched a police team to the scene.
The injured constable was promptly taken to the district hospital in Bijapur for emergency medical treatment. Doctors have reported that the constable’s condition is currently stable.
