A significant investment in Jashpur’s future was marked by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, who officiated the inauguration of completed projects and the commencement of new ones, collectively worth Rs 40.89 crore. This extensive development drive targets the Farsabahar region, emphasizing holistic progress from infrastructure to social welfare.
Four completed projects, valued at Rs 4.16 crore, were officially opened, including vital road upgrades. These are the Maskamara to Lavakera main road (1.70 km, costing Rs 1.81 crore), the Ambakchar approach road (1.00 km, Rs 1.29 crore), and the Mundadih approach road (0.90 km, Rs 95.53 lakh). These infrastructure enhancements are expected to greatly improve connectivity for local residents.
Furthermore, foundation stones were laid for nine new projects, representing a substantial Rs 36.72 crore investment. The most significant of these is the Pamsala–Saraïtola 11.50 km road, slated for completion with a budget of Rs 23.96 crore. Other crucial new developments include a Rest House at Farsabahar (Rs 1.72 crore), a Sludge Treatment Plant (Rs 31.38 lakh), and a series of hostel buildings designed to support tribal students’ education. Post-Matric Tribal Boys’ Hostels will be constructed in Kolhenjhariya, Farsabahar, and Pandripani, while Pre-Matric Tribal Boys’ Hostels are planned for Lavakera, Pandripani, and Tapkara. These educational facilities represent an investment of approximately Rs 1.52 crore to Rs 1.91 crore each.
This strategic development initiative reflects the state government’s dedication to fostering inclusive growth. By focusing on rural connectivity, sanitation, education, and tribal welfare, the projects align with Chief Minister Sai’s vision of extending developmental benefits to every village in Jashpur, ensuring equitable progress.
