
The Chhattisgarh government is inviting applications for the State Sports Decoration Awards for 2023-24 and 2024-25. The Sports and Youth Welfare Department will be awarding outstanding athletes, coaches, and referees at both state and national levels. Applications must be submitted by June 26, 2025. The awards are dedicated to honoring the state’s martyrs, with the Shaheed Rajeev Pandey Award carrying a prize of ₹3 lakh. The Shaheed Kaushal Yadav and Veer Hanuman Singh Awards will provide ₹1.5 lakh each, while the Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Award and the Vinod Chaubey Samman will offer ₹25,000. The Chief Minister Trophy will reward exceptional teams, with awards ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh, depending on the number of players. In addition to the awards, financial assistance will be provided through an Inspiration Fund and Diet Money, with the latter available to those under 19 years old. Coaches and referees will also be recognized. Application forms are available at http://sportsyw.cg.gov.in, the District Sports Office, and the State Sports Directorate in Raipur. Supporting documentation is required. The Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Samman requires recommendations from state sports associations. Selection will be based on recommendations, achievements, and eligibility. Athletes, coaches, and referees can submit applications until June 26, 2025. Incomplete applications will be rejected, and the selection committee’s decision is final.
