
In a significant announcement, Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, has set a target to make India Naxal-free by March 31, 2026, focusing on the state of Chhattisgarh. He affirmed that the anti-Naxal operations will persist with full intensity, even during the monsoon. The government, under the guidance of Vishnu Deo Sai and Home Minister Vijay Sharma, has been working swiftly to enhance operations in Chhattisgarh. Shah appealed to Naxalites to surrender, emphasizing the government’s appealing surrender policy and the support provided for rehabilitation. He also highlighted the establishment of the National Forensic Science University and Central Forensic Lab in Nava Raipur and the launch of ‘iHub’ to promote startups and offer technical and financial assistance to young entrepreneurs. Shah encouraged the youth of Chhattisgarh to become entrepreneurs and contribute to the state’s industrial advancement.
