In a move to promote national unity, the Chhattisgarh Waqf Board has ordered that all mosques, dargahs, and madrasas in the state hoist the Indian flag on Independence Day. The directive is in preparation for the 78th Independence Day on August 15th. The Waqf Board has instructed all Mutawallis to ensure the national flag is hoisted with respect. In addition to the flag hoisting, the national anthem will also be performed. Dr. Salim Raj, the Waqf Board President, stated that the decision aims to strengthen the message of national unity, harmony, and brotherhood. He emphasized the importance of patriotism and the need to demonstrate love for the nation.
