To check the authenticity of a challan, vehicle owners can visit the departmental portal and select the “Pay Online” option. By entering the vehicle number and the last four digits of either the chassis or engine number, one can view complete challan details and proceed with secure online payment. The department has reiterated that all e-challans issued by the police and transport department are available only on the official portal. Individuals are cautioned against trusting suspicious calls, messages, or links. Those who suspect fraud should report it to the nearest police station or transport department.
