Paragaon, located in the Gobra Nawapara tehsil region of Chhattisgarh, was struck by tragedy today. A lightning strike near the Mahanadi river resulted in the death of 27 goats and sheep. Seven other animals were also injured in the event. The incident followed an unexpected weather change that brought heavy rain and a powerful lightning display. The animals were grazing when the lightning hit. The loss of the livestock has critically affected the income and livelihood of three families in the village, as they relied on the animals for their economic stability. Local residents are seeking financial support to help the affected families recover from this loss.
