
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai of Chhattisgarh, after concluding a visit to Japan, arrived in Seoul to meet with the leadership of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA). Discussions with KITA’s Chairman Jin Sik Yoon and Vice President Kim Ki Hyun centered on fostering investment, facilitating technology transfer, and promoting skill development within Chhattisgarh. Sai emphasized the key aspects of Chhattisgarh’s industrial policy (2024-30), the state’s robust natural resources, and its skilled workforce. He highlighted the strong historical and cultural connections between the two regions, and anticipated that the dialogue would lead to new collaborative ventures in investment, technological cooperation, and skills enhancement, creating new opportunities for the youth of Chhattisgarh and accelerating industrial progress. Sai also underscored the state government’s commitment to providing a favorable environment for investors, ensuring timely approvals, and developing essential infrastructure. During the meeting, KITA’s Chairman and Vice President expressed strong interest in Chhattisgarh’s investment-focused policies and resources, suggesting that Korean companies are enthusiastic about potential investments. The Chief Minister anticipates substantial benefits for Chhattisgarh’s farmers, laborers, and local entrepreneurs. He expects that investments in food processing, electronics, automobiles, steel, and renewable energy sectors would generate numerous job openings, while technology transfer would improve the standards and competitiveness of local industries. He concluded that this partnership would propel the state’s economy, establishing Chhattisgarh as a model of self-sufficiency and global collaboration in the future.
