
Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded Chhattisgarh’s transition from a region once associated with backwardness and Naxalism to a beacon of prosperity and stability during his recent visit to Nava Raipur. Marking the state’s 25th year, the Prime Minister inaugurated developmental projects worth more than Rs 14,260 crore, reinforcing the state’s upward trajectory. He emphasized the widespread availability of basic amenities, with electricity and internet now reaching every corner of the state, and praised the significant enhancement of rural road connectivity, which now spans an impressive 40,000 kilometers. The inauguration of 3.51 lakh homes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and the release of substantial funds for rural housing further illustrated the government’s focus on welfare. The visit also included the unveiling of cultural landmarks, such as a museum dedicated to tribal heroes and a modern spiritual learning center, demonstrating a holistic approach to development that respects heritage while embracing the future.
