
Chhattisgarh’s urban bodies are set to be honored at the Swachh Survekshan 2024 awards ceremony in New Delhi on July 17th. President Droupadi Murmu will present national awards to seven urban bodies in recognition of their exceptional cleanliness efforts. Bilaspur Municipal Corporation, Kumhari Municipality, and Bilha Nagar Panchayat will receive the prestigious President’s Award for their outstanding contributions to sanitation. Raipur Municipal Corporation will be awarded the Ministerial Award for its dedication to cleanliness at the state level. Furthermore, Ambikapur Municipal Corporation, Patan Nagar Panchayat, and Bishrampur Nagar Panchayat have been included in the Super Swachhta League (SSL), a new category that acknowledges cities with sustained high performance in cleanliness over the past few years. The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister have expressed their congratulations, recognizing the combined efforts of local bodies and the Urban Administration and Development Department in creating cleaner and more beautiful cities.
