Raipur, May 6, 2025 / Chief Minister Shri Vishnudeo Sai today landed on ground zero on the second day of his tour, in the third phase of Good Governance Festival. The Chief Minister unexpectedly reached Village-Sahaspur in Bemetara district and took direct feedback on the schemes from the villagers. He told the villagers that he has come among them to learn about their sorrows and troubles. There was no prior plan for the Chief Minister’s visit to Village-Sahaspur. So, when the sound of the helicopter suddenly echoed in the village, the astonished villagers came out of their homes. A crowd gathered to meet their leader. The villagers said happily – Ram-Ram Ji Ga, Chief Minister Ji! and welcomed him with a garland of evergreen flowers and sandalwood-aarti.
Chief Minister’s Chaupal (Meeting Place) Set Up in Banyan Tree Shade
The Chief Minister interacted with the villagers in Village-Sahaspur, sitting on a cot in the shade of an old banyan tree. He inquired about the implementation of government schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Prime Minister Housing Scheme), Mahtari Vandan Yojana (Mothers’ Worship Scheme), Nal Jal Yojana (Tap Water Scheme), Paddy Procurement, Children’s Education in School, and other schemes. He said that it has been one and a half years since our government came to power, and in this period, we have fulfilled many guarantees of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. After the formation of the government, in the first cabinet meeting, we approved 1.8 million houses. Farmers were given the arrears bonus of 2 years. Paddy is also being procured at the rate of ₹3100 per quintal.
The Chief Minister said that this is the third phase of the Good Governance Festival. In the initial phases, applications related to people’s problems were taken. These applications are being continuously resolved by the officials. Now I myself have reached among you with the government officials so that you can directly convey your point to me.
Chief Minister Hands Over the Mic, Poonam Sahu Says – Mahtari Vandan Has Provided Great Help
In the Chief Minister’s Chaupal, Smt. Poonam Sahu spoke about the assistance being received from Mahtari Vandan. The Chief Minister handed the mic to Poonam, Poonam said that it provides great help in fulfilling the needs of the family and children. The amount of Mahtari Vandan Yojana is received regularly every month.
Chief Minister Announces in Sahaspur Gram Panchayat
The Chief Minister interacted with the villagers in Sahaspur, sitting on a cot under the banyan tree. During this, on the demand of the villagers, he approved a new building for the village’s Higher Secondary School. He also announced the beautification of the Shiva temple and Hanuman temple complex built by the Phani Nagvanshi kings in the 13th-14th centuries. The Chief Minister said that it will be developed as a tourist destination. I myself will come to the Mahashivratri fair. The Chief Minister also announced a 33 KV electricity sub-station in Sahaspur.
On this occasion, MLA Shri Ishwar Sahu, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh and Secretary to Chief Minister Shri P. Dayanand were present.
