Raipur, November 10, 2025/ Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai today inaugurated the regular operation of the State Hangar near Swami Vivekananda Airport premises, Mana Camp. After the inauguration, Chief Minister Mr. Sai departed from this hangar for his Gujarat visit.
With the commencement of the State Hangar, arrangements for VVIP arrival and departure by special aircraft in the state will now become more smooth and organized. This initiative will also eliminate the inconvenience faced by common passengers during VVIP movement at the airport’s passenger terminal.
It is noteworthy that the construction of the State Hangar was completed in the year 2012 by the Public Works Department (PWD) at a cost of approximately 6.50 crore rupees. However, various approvals from DGCA and BCAS required for its operation were recently obtained on October 31, 2025. After receiving the approvals, the regular operation of the hangar has now commenced.
The newly constructed State Hangar has been connected to the airport runway via taxiway āEā, which will facilitate smoother VVIP movement and eliminate the need for separate arrangements within the airport premises.
This new State Hangar will also be used for the maintenance of aircraft and helicopters owned by the state government. This will now end the dependence on rented State Hangars located within the airport premises.
On this occasion, MLA Mr. Motilal Sahu, Mana Camp Nagar Panchayat President Mr. Sanjay Yadav, Chief Minister’s Secretary Mr. Rahul Bhagat, Chief Minister’s Deputy Secretary Mr. Suraj Sahu, along with other public representatives and senior officials, were present.
