Raipur, May 8, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai made a surprise visit to Gram Panchayat Chhinda under Baikunthpur Janpad Panchayat of Korea district today on the occasion of Good Governance Festival and interacted cordially with the villagers. The villagers were surprised and excited to see the Chief Minister’s helicopter suddenly land in the premises of the village primary school. The villagers cordially welcomed him with bouquets made of traditional local flowers and leaves.

Chief Minister Shri Sai set up a Chaupal in the shade of the Kosam tree in the school premises, where he started the meeting with the slogan of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and established a cordial dialogue with the villagers present. Highlighting the basic objective of the Good Governance Festival, he made it clear that this festival is a medium to bring the government closer to the people, so that the benefits of the government’s schemes reach the last person. Chief Minister Shri Sai gave detailed information about major public welfare schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mahtari Vandan Yojana and also took feedback from the villagers regarding the impact of these schemes.

In the Chaupal, the villagers shared various local problems and needs with the Chief Minister, which Chief Minister Shri Sai listened to carefully and made many announcements. He announced the construction of a sub-health center building in Chhinda village so that health services could be easily available to the villagers. Along with this, he immediately approved the construction of two CC roads in the village, the construction of a community building and the construction of a culvert in ward number 17.

Chief Minister Shri Sai assured that the government is working with the spirit of development and service in every corner of the state and that he himself is taking stock of the situation by going down to the ground level so that no village or person is deprived of the government schemes.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the priority of the Chhattisgarh government is to ensure access to good governance to the rural areas. Listening to the problems by sitting in the chaupals of the villages and solving them on the spot is a part of our government of good governance. He urged the villagers to take maximum advantage of the government schemes and motivate other villagers by becoming aware themselves.

The villagers were very happy to find Chief Minister Shri Sai among them on this unexpected visit. The villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Sai for the cordial meeting and said that this is the first time that a Chief Minister of the state has come directly to their village and sat on a cot without formalities to listen to them. This initiative has reduced the distance between the government and the people and strengthened the faith of the people in the government.
