
Raipur, August 4, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai addressed the closing ceremony of the Divya Shiv Mahapuran Katha, organized near the world’s largest natural Shivalinga Madhveshwar mountain in Mayali, under Kunkuri development block of Jashpur district, from the Chief Minister’s residence office in Raipur on the auspicious occasion of the fourth Monday of the holy Shravan month.
This seven-day Divya Katha series of Shravan month was organized by Mahmadhveshwar Dham Committee from July 28 to August 4, 2025, in which the famous storyteller of Ayodhya, Pujya Shri Devkinandan Ji Maharaj, mesmerized thousands of devotees with the nectarous words of Shiv Mahapuran. The Chief Minister, while saluting all the saints associated with the Vyaspeeth, congratulated and thanked the committee for the grand event.
In his address, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Shiva and Shakti are present in every particle of Chhattisgarh and the state gets spiritual energy from these holy places. He informed that an amount of ₹10 crore has been received from the Central Government for the development of Madhveshwar Mahadev Dham, and the state government is working at a fast pace for infrastructure development and devotee facilities.
The Chief Minister, while mentioning the major places of Lord Shiva in the state, said that Lord Shiva is giving darshan to the devotees in various forms in the form of Madhveshwar mountain in Mayali, Baba Bhoramdev in Kawardha, Kuleshwar Mahadev in Rajim, Bhuteshwar Mahadev in Gariaband and Lakshmaneshwar Mahadev in Kharod of Janjgir-Champa. He said that this entire state is Shivmay.
Shri Sai informed that the Shakti Corridor Yojana has been started for the development of five major Shaktipeeths in Chhattisgarh. It includes Bamleshwari Devi of Dongargarh, Mahamaya Devi of Ratanpur, Chandrahsini Mata of Chandrapur, Danteshwari Devi of Dantewada. He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a new direction is being given to pilgrimage tourism.
The Chief Minister, while mentioning the Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana, said that till now more than 22 thousand devotees have benefited from the darshan of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya Dham. He said that this scheme has become a strong medium to connect the devotees with devotion towards Lord Shri Ram.
In the same vein, while mentioning the re-launched Chief Minister Tirth Darshan Yojana, he said that under this scheme, elderly devotees of the state are being taken to the darshan of 19 major pilgrimage sites of the country, due to which they are experiencing spiritual satisfaction and faith in their lives.
On the occasion of the closing ceremony, the Chief Minister, while wishing for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the state, prayed that the blessings of Baba Bholenath should always remain on all the devotees. He wished the Mahmadhveshwar Dham Committee for the success of the event and said that the state government will make Chhattisgarh a new religious and tourist destination through the coordination of faith, culture and development.
