    Chintan Shivir 2.0, forging a new definition of good governance: The path to good governance through technology and innovation

    Raipur, June 9, 2025/ Chintan Shivir 2.0 was organized at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur with the aim of making the functioning of the Chhattisgarh government more effective and public-friendly. In this camp, there was an in-depth discussion on innovations to deliver the schemes of the central and state governments to the public and modern techniques of good governance.

    Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and his cabinet colleagues shared their views on various aspects of good governance with subject experts. On the last day of the Chintan Shivir, Shri Sanjeev Sanyal, member of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council, while giving a lecture on the topic “Art of Good Governance”, highlighted important topics like simplifying administrative processes, increasing the capabilities of the state, removing unnecessary rules, and restructuring government agencies. He explained how governments can make the quality of their policy-making and implementation more effective.

    Digital health expert Dr. Rajendra Prasad Gupta, while talking about digital health technologies and good governance, said that digital health technologies are capable of providing quality services even in remote and backward areas. He suggested ways to increase the transparency and accountability of health services through technologies like e-health records, telemedicine, mobile health apps, and artificial intelligence. He said that digital health technology not only empowers health services but also increases the trust of the general public in the government.

    Political analyst and writer Shri Uday Mahurkar discussed in detail the historical perspective of Indian democracy, the quality of political conduct, administrative accountability, and the public-friendly implementation of policies on the topic “Good Governance to Election”. He said that a strong and transparent governance system increases the trust of the people in democracy and also affects the electoral process. He also highlighted measures to strengthen good governance at the local level, bring transparency in elections, and establish ethical values in administration.

    On this occasion, Chief Minister’s Secretary Shri Rahul Bhagat and Director of Indian Institute of Management Shri Ram Kakani were also present.
