
Jashpur witnessed a vibrant celebration of International Yoga Day, with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai leading the yoga practice at Ranjita Stadium. The event was graced by the presence of Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, and Yoga Commission Chairman Roop Narayan Sinha. CM Sai highlighted the historical significance of yoga in India and its enduring practice. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for promoting International Yoga Day on June 21st, contributing to its global acceptance. He encouraged the public to make yoga a daily habit, suggesting a minimum time commitment for practice. He emphasized that yoga, meaning ‘to join,’ should be integrated into one’s life. The Chief Minister noted the global expansion of yoga beyond India. He shared his personal yoga routine of 25-30 minutes, including Kapalbhati, which has aided in his weight loss. He emphasized the importance of yoga for health and disease prevention. The International Yoga Day event was well-attended. A remarkable performance was given by 10-year-old Varsha Mishra, a deaf and mute girl, who demonstrated yoga on stage. CM Sai acknowledged her performance with a special memento.
