Continuous supply of fertilizer to farmers in the state: Chief Minister Shri Sai
Chief Minister gave strict instructions to the officials in the high level review meeting regarding the availability of fertilizer
Raipur 01 July 2025/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today held a high-level review meeting in Mahanadi Bhawan, Ministry, regarding the availability of fertilizers and seeds, keeping in view the upcoming Kharif season. Directing the officials, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that continuous supply of fertilizers should be ensured to the farmers in the state.
The Chief Minister specifically mentioned encouraging the use of NPK fertilizer in place of DAP and asked the farmers to be made aware of its benefits. Shri Sai directed the Collectors to monitor and continuously review the availability and distribution of fertilizers in the district-wise cooperative societies.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this time of farming is very important for the farmers. If any kind of obstacle comes in the supply of fertilizers and seeds at this time, then it will directly affect the sowing and production of crops. He directed the officials that the farmers should get sufficient quantity of fertilizer on time and at a fair rate. He said that arrangements are also being made for NPK fertilizer in the societies, take immediate steps in the direction of making it available to the farmers. Expressing deep concern over the sale of substandard and fake fertilizers, he directed that strict action should be taken immediately in such cases.
Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Rahul Bhagat, Agriculture Production Commissioner Smt. Shehla Nigar, Director Agriculture Shri Rahul Dev and officers-employees of Markfed were present in the meeting.
