
In a significant event, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated a new convention center in Korba, named in honor of Mata Ahilyabai Holkar. The ceremony included the unveiling of a statue and the commencement of development projects worth ₹223 crore. During the event, the Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure in the region, particularly with road projects costing ₹145 crore. He also announced that the convention center would be air-conditioned and highlighted its potential to host major events for the benefit of Korba’s residents. He acknowledged the previous allocation of significant funds for development and recognized the legacy of Lokmata Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar. Additionally, he addressed the request for the establishment of an aluminum park in Korba.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao celebrated the day as historic, linking it to the renaming of the convention center after Mata Ahilyabai Holkar. Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan praised the Chief Minister’s work and mentioned the recent allocation of development funds for Korba, including a request for an aluminum park. Collector Basant and other dignitaries also attended the event, with Chief Minister Sai expressing condolences for the victims of the recent plane crash.
