
A family in Korba, Chhattisgarh, faced a tragic outcome after a chicken party resulted in the deaths of two individuals. Upon consuming the chicken, family members became ill, experiencing vomiting and diarrhea. The mother-in-law and her son-in-law died while receiving medical care. Three other individuals are currently in serious condition. The incident took place in Korkoma village, under the purview of the Rajgamar police station. The feast was organized to welcome the son-in-law. Investigations indicate the cause was likely food poisoning. There are suspicions that the alcoholic beverages consumed may have been contaminated. The gathering occurred at the residence of 60-year-old Rajmeen Bai in Shivnagar Chauhan Para. Devsingh, the son-in-law, arrived with his wife Chamel from Bhaisama Dadarkala on Thursday. Rajmeen Bai, her son Rajkumar, and neighbor Rajaraj hosted the chicken party. The mother-in-law was the first to become ill, followed by the son-in-law. Both died during treatment, while the others are in critical condition.
In a separate incident, approximately three dozen people in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, fell ill after consuming chaat from a street vendor. They were admitted to a local health center due to symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea.
