Raigarh, Chhattisgarh – Authorities have made a grim discovery in Raigarh district: the body of Jaypal Singh Sidar, the younger brother of former Congress MLA Chakradhar Singh Sidar. The body was found in a state of advanced decomposition, with significant skeletal remains visible.
The discovery was made in the Lailunga police station area, near the Sisringa temple. The condition of the body suggests it had been in the location for approximately five to six days. Upon receiving notification, police and a forensic team were dispatched to the scene. The body was identified by family members as Jaypal Singh Sidar, who had been reported missing since July 7th.
Jaypal Singh Sidar, 43, a resident of Katkaliya village, was a village secretary in Pakhar. He was last seen on the morning of July 7th, when he left his home in his Swift Dzire car to take his child to school. After that, he never returned. Despite extensive searches by police and family, his whereabouts were unknown.
A missing person report was filed on July 8th, and police began an investigation, including tracing his mobile phone, which showed a last known location in Jashpur. A week prior, his car was located near Gerwani-Lakha. The discovery of his body now prompts an investigation into the circumstances of his death.
