A female doctor in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, was the victim of a sophisticated fraud involving two individuals disguised as sadhus. These individuals entered her clinic and, through the use of hypnosis, managed to extract money from her. The doctor has lodged a formal complaint with the police to address the incident. The event took place at the Sudha Suraj Fertility Care Clinic in Shankar Nagar. The doctor reported that on September 26th, at approximately 3 PM, two men, impersonating sadhus, entered the clinic. After declining money offered by the staff, they proceeded to the doctor’s cabin, circumventing attempts by the receptionist to prevent their access. They began a conversation with the doctor, feigning a need for medical consultation, and slowly collected private details. With this information, they hypnotized the doctor. Taking advantage of the doctor’s altered state, they compelled her to make a UPI transfer of Rs 9,000, using the account of Paramjeet Kaur. Before departing, they provided the doctor with a deity’s picture, black beads, and a Rudraksha mala. The entire incident was captured on CCTV. Subsequent review of the financial transactions and CCTV footage revealed the deception. The doctor promptly reported the fraud to the police, who have started investigating and are attempting to locate the suspects.
