Two separate road accidents in the Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh claimed the lives of two individuals, while another person sustained severe injuries. These incidents have brought sorrow to the local communities.
The initial accident happened near the Pilari canal in the Kharsia police station area on Tuesday morning. Budhheshwar Sidar, a 35-year-old resident of Suti village, was traveling on a motorcycle with his relative, Rupesh Sidar, after dropping off his sister in Gadgaon. A speeding trailer, heading from Kharsia towards Raigarh, collided with their motorcycle. Budhheshwar died at the scene after being run over by the trailer’s wheels. Rupesh Sidar was seriously injured and hospitalized. The trailer driver fled the scene, leading to a police investigation.
The second incident occurred in Dhanagar village, under the Kotra Road police station area. On Monday evening, at approximately 5 PM, Uttam Prasad Sarthi had parked a sand-laden tractor on a slope and returned home. Ashok Yadav (46), who was present nearby, noticed the tractor rolling downhill and attempted to stop it. Sadly, Ashok Yadav was struck by the tractor, which ran over his head, resulting in his immediate death. Following notification by family members and villagers, police arrived at the scene, sent the body for post-mortem examination, and initiated an investigation.
