Raipur, October 9, 2025/Education is the only way for the progress and development of society. Our government is continuously working to strengthen school education up to higher education. Our intention is to see the youth of the Scheduled Tribe category of Chhattisgarh becoming Collectors, SPs, Doctors, and Engineers. Chief Minister Shri Sai was addressing the social conference of the Satgadh Kanwar Samaj and the death anniversary ceremony of Veer Shaheed Sitaram Kanwar organized in Katghora, Korba district, today.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Veer Shaheed Sitaram Kanwar is the pride of the community. On this occasion, he unveiled the statue of Shaheed Sitaram Kanwar, a freedom fighter of the 1857 independence struggle, at Rampur Chowk. During the program, representatives of the community welcomed and honored Chief Minister Shri Sai by presenting him with a bow and arrow. The Chief Minister also honored talented students who secured excellent marks in board examinations.
Chief Minister Shri Sai announced at the program that an amount of ₹1 crore will be provided for the construction of the social building of the Satgadh Kanwar Samaj, and a boundary wall will also be constructed in this building. He announced ₹10 lakh for the installation of a new statue of Shaheed Sitaram Kanwar at Rampur Chowk, ₹25 lakh for the installation of the statue of Lord Sahastrabahu and construction of an entrance gate at Kasonia Mod, and the construction of a high-tech bus stand in Katghora.
Chief Minister Shri Sai also performed the foundation stone laying ceremony for the naming of Lord Sahastrabahu Chowk, installation of a statue, and construction of the Kalchuri Welcome Gate cum Garden at Kasonia Mod.
Chief Minister Shri Sai appealed to the people present at the Kanwar Samaj conference to educate their children for the development and upliftment of the community, to keep youth away from drugs, and to take maximum benefit from the public welfare schemes of the government. He said that excellent institutions for higher education have been established in the state—medical colleges, AIIMS, IIIT, universities, and law colleges are operating. He also extended his best wishes for the Silver Jubilee festival on the completion of 25 years of Chhattisgarh state formation.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the work of fulfilling the guarantees given by the honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to the people of Chhattisgarh is being done rapidly. After the formation of the government, 18 lakh Prime Minister’s houses have been approved. Paddy is being purchased from farmers at the rate of ₹3100 per quintal for 21 quintals per acre. Financial assistance of ₹1000 per month is being deposited in the accounts of 70 lakh women under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Tendu leaf collectors are being purchased at the rate of ₹5500 per standard bag. The Charan Paduka Yojana has been restarted.
Chief Minister informed that under the Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana, thousands of devotees from the state are being taken on a trip to Ayodhya Dham every month at government expense. He said that within just 20 months of the formation of the government, more than 10 thousand youths have been given government jobs. Soon, 5 thousand teachers and more than 700 assistant professors will be recruited. The Chief Minister informed that new industrial policies are being made employment-oriented, opening new avenues for opportunities for the youth.
