21 Naxals surrendered in Kanker district, leaving the path of violence
Raipur, October 26, 2025/Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai has said that the end of Maoism in Chhattisgarh is now moving towards becoming a reality. People-oriented initiatives like “Puna MarGam – Rehabilitation for Revival” have brought a new wave of peace and trust in Bastar.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that the surrender of 21 Naxals in Kanker district today, leaving the path of violence, is a strong proof of the success of the ongoing “Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy – 2025” and “Niyad Nella Nar Yojana” in the state.
Chief Minister said that the misguided youth, misled by the false and misleading ideology of Maoism, are now beginning to understand that the path of development, not the gun, is the right option for the future. The government is fully committed to the rehabilitation, retraining, and social reintegration of these surrendered Naxals, so that they can join the mainstream and live a dignified life in society.
Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and the leadership of Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah, the Chhattisgarh government has won the trust of the people of Bastar. This is the reason why Maoist organizations are now rapidly weakening and a large number of them are leaving the path of violence and accepting peace.
Chief Minister said that the backbone of Naxalism has been broken in the Bastar region, and the area is rapidly moving towards peace, development, and empowerment. He said that the target of the double-engine government is to make India Naxal-free by March 31, 2026, and Chhattisgarh is rapidly moving in this direction.
