Heavy and persistent rainfall in Chhattisgarh has caused widespread disruption, including overflowing rivers and flooded residential areas. In response to the adverse weather, district administrations have declared closures for schools and Anganwadi centers to protect citizens. The district of Dhamtari will see a one-day closure of all government Anganwadi centers and schools, following an order by Collector Avinash Mishra. The Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki district, which is experiencing even more severe conditions, has announced a two-day holiday for all government and private schools and Anganwadi centers on July 9th and 10th.
