In an effort to combat food adulteration, the Food Safety Department in Raipur has initiated a special campaign, ‘Bane Khabo-Bane Rahiho,’ ahead of the festive season. On Monday, a team of food safety officials raided Haldiram’s restaurant in Shankar Nagar, seizing samples of sweets for testing. Prior to this, the department had also inspected Sweet Hut & Bakers in the Telibandha area, collecting samples of various food items. The department is actively collecting samples of sweets, snacks, and other food products from different locations. Officials have stated that strict action will be taken against shopkeepers found guilty after the test results are received. The main objective of the department is to ensure that the public receives safe and pure food during the festive season. The Food Safety Department is committed to intensifying the campaign and adopting a zero-tolerance policy to prevent any compromise on public health during the festivals.
