A distressing case from the Sarkanda police station area in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, reveals the exploitation of a minor. A 16-year-old girl, after a dispute with her family, fled her home and went to her friend’s place. This decision led to her being ensnared in a sex trafficking operation. The friend, with her mother’s assistance, took the girl to Raigarh, confined her, forced her to drink alcohol, and compelled her to have sexual relations with others. The girl was physically assaulted when she refused. Law enforcement has arrested four individuals including the friend, her mother, and one other suspect. Further actions are being pursued by the police.
