Dhamtari District First in the State in Resolving Applications Received During Good Governance Festival
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Himself is Conducting Field Visits
Raipur, May 7, 2025/ Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the ‘Good Governance Festival’ is being organized with full enthusiasm in the state of Chhattisgarh for the prompt resolution of complaints and demands of the general public. In the third phase, the administration is listening to the people in villages and towns across the state with full dedication and is resolving their issues. The Chief Minister himself is monitoring this campaign. He is making surprise visits to villages by helicopter, evaluating the ground reality of government schemes, interacting directly with the public, and reaching resolution camps to listen to people’s problems and resolve them on the spot. This is a symbol of the sensitivity and commitment of the Chhattisgarh government towards the public.
40 Lakh 95 Thousand Applications Received in the State So Far
Under the Good Governance Festival, more than 40 lakh 95 thousand applications have been received so far, most of which have been resolved. In this, Dhamtari district has secured the first position in the state by resolving 99.38 percent of approximately 2 lakh 28 thousand applications. 14 districts of the state namely Dhamtari, Mahasamund, Shakti, Balod, Raigarh, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, Mungeli, Raipur, Surguja, South Bastar Dantewada, Durg, Janjgir-Champa, Narayanpur, Bijapur have resolved more than 90 percent of the applications, while Gariaband, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Bilaspur, Rajnandgaon, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, Kabirdham, Bemetara, Jashpur, Korea, North Bastar Kanker, Surajpur districts have resolved 80 to 90 percent of the applications. Bastar district has resolved 78.48 percent, Kondagaon 70.97 percent, Balrampur-Ramanujganj district 60.59 percent, Manendragarh Chirimiri Bharatpur 59.09 percent, Korba district 41.61 percent and Sukma district more than 30 percent of the applications, which is a proof that continuous efforts are being made in the direction of quick and effective resolution throughout the state.
Raipur Received the Most Applications
Raipur district received 3 lakh 764 applications, which is the highest in the state. After this, Balodabazar-Bhatapara district is in the second position. Dhamtari, Bilaspur and Bastar are in the third, fourth and fifth positions respectively. In terms of resolution, Dhamtari is first, Mahasamund second and Shakti district is in the third position. Balod and Raigarh are in the fourth and fifth positions respectively.
During the Good Governance Festival, more than 10 lakh applications related to Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana were received, out of which 94.70 percent have been resolved. Most of the 1.47 lakh applications related to Ujjwala Yojana and 1.12 lakh applications for ration cards have been resolved. Demands related to road construction, drinking water supply and sanitation in urban areas were also prominent.
The Panchayat and Rural Development Department received 25 lakh 77 thousand 747 applications. The Revenue Department received 3 lakh 74 thousand 429, the Food Department 2 lakh 18 thousand 113, the Women and Child Development Department 1 lakh 57 thousand and the Urban Administration Department 1 lakh 42 thousand 475 applications. In terms of resolution, the Women and Child Development Department is first, the Labour Department is second, and the Industry, Animal Husbandry and Food Departments are in the third, fourth and fifth positions respectively.
This initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai is taking the state of Chhattisgarh forward in the direction of good governance based on public participation. Reaching out to common people in camps in villages, listening to complaints immediately and making the government system more accountable is the basic spirit of the Good Governance Festival.

This campaign fulfills the Chief Minister’s vision, where the government not only works in offices, but also goes to village to village to listen to the voice of the common man and solve every problem.
