
Government issues guidelines for the dignified celebration of Independence Day
Main समारोह will be held in Raipur, the capital
Chief Minister will hoist the flag and broadcast a message to the public
Raipur 08 July 2025/ Necessary preparations have been started at the government level with the aim of celebrating the National Festival Independence Day in a dignified and grand manner across the state. In this regard, a state level coordination meeting was organized in the past days under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Chhattisgarh. In the meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary directed all the concerned departments that the Independence Day celebrations should be held in a dignified, well-organized and nationalistic environment like every year.
The main function of Independence Day in the capital Raipur will be held from 9 am at the Police Parade Ground. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will hoist the national flag and give a message to the public. The Chief Minister will also be given a guard of honor by a joint parade in the समारोह.
The responsibility of the parade of the main समारोह organized in Raipur will be under the Inspector General of Police, Chhattisgarh Armed Forces. B.S.F., C.R.P.F., C.I.S.F., I.T.B.P., S.S.B., Chhattisgarh Armed Forces (women and men), Nagar Sena, N.C.C. cadets etc. will participate in the parade. Medals and awards will be distributed by various departments on the occasion of Independence Day. For this, the departments will have to constitute a jury and send the list of selected names to the General Administration Department by July 29, 2025. Proposals received after the stipulated date will not be considered.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will give a ‘message to the public’ in the main समारोह. This message will be broadcast throughout the state through Doordarshan and Akashvani. After the main समारोह, group-dances and songs based on patriotism will be presented by the students. A jury will be constituted by the School Education Department for the programs of school children and awards will be distributed at the कार्यक्रम स्थल itself. The Collector, Superintendent of Police and Municipal Commissioner Raipur have been assigned many important responsibilities regarding the Independence Day main समारोह व्यवस्था.
Lighting arrangements will be ensured on all public buildings and national monuments of the state on the night of August 15. Private institutions have also been appealed to hoist the flag and illuminate. Instructions have been issued to the Collectors for the organization of programs and exhibitions at the district, block and panchayat levels. Freedom fighters and the families of the soldiers martyred in Naxal violence will be respectfully invited to the समारोह.
