Raipur / Grandmaster Praveen Mahadev Thipse, an international chess player from India, met Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at the Chief Minister’s residence in Raipur yesterday. Chief Minister Shri Sai appreciated the game talent and achievements of Shri Thipse, praising him. On this occasion, General Secretary of Chhattisgarh Olympic Association Shri Vikram Sisodia along with other officials of the association were present.
It is noteworthy that Praveen Mahadev Thipse is a player who has received the title of Grandmaster in chess and is also the first Indian to win the Commonwealth Chess Championship. He has also been awarded the Arjuna Award.
