Raipur, October 17, 2025/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today described the surrender of 210 Maoist cadres in Bastar as a historic moment not only for the state but for the entire country. He said that the youth who were once trapped in the false ideology of Maoism have today resolved to return to the mainstream of the constitution, democracy, and development.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that today is a historic day not only for Bastar but for the whole of Chhattisgarh and the country. The youth who chose the path of violence after wandering on dark paths for years have today laid down their guns and embraced the constitution. This is not just a moment of surrender, but a new beginning of faith, change, and life.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that meeting these youths in Bastar, who have expressed faith in good governance by leaving their guns, has been one of the most emotional and satisfying moments of my life. This scene is proof that change comes with policies and trust.
The Chief Minister said that schemes like the state government’s Naxalite Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy 2025, “Niyad Nella Nar Yojana”, and “Poona Margem – Rehabilitation to Rejuvenation” are a call for faith and change. Due to the impact of these policies, people in Naxal-affected areas are leaving their guns and accepting the government’s pledge of faith and development.
He said that today’s scene is proof that change comes with policies and trust. This is the foundation stone for Chhattisgarh’s peaceful future. Our government is fully committed to the rehabilitation of the surrendered individuals and their bright future.
Chief Minister said that the promise of the double-engine government is to completely free Chhattisgarh from Naxalism. He said that this promise is being fulfilled under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the leadership of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah. Chhattisgarh is now moving towards a new era of peace, trust, and development.
